We run the Best Chip Shop Competition to find the best of the best operators. Only one can take out the Grand National title and six are awarded as regional winners. In 2013 we found 48 shops who sell chips that are less than 9% fat! This is incredible!
Operators who entered:
- undertook our online training
- completed an entry form telling us why they were worthy of being winners
- sent us a sample of their chips (cooked to industry standards)
If their chips were under 9% fat they received a HIGHLY COMMENDED AWARD. All of the Highly Commended shops were visited by mystery judges who made the final selection.
We are still so thrilled with the standard of entries in the 2013 Competition.
We plan to run the next competition in 2016!
